After serving 17 years in the military — and continuing to serve today — I experienced firsthand the challenges that many service members face when transitioning into civilian life.

When I moved from active duty to the Reserve 9 years ago, I quickly realized that the transition was more difficult than I expected. I struggled to understand what benefits and resources were available to me, what career path I should pursue, and how to translate my military experience into opportunities in the civilian workforce. Like many veterans, I found that the skills and leadership developed through military service did not always transfer as smoothly into civilian careers as I had hoped.

That experience became the foundation for Vets2Vocation.

I created Vets2Vocation to help bridge the gap between military service and civilian success. Our mission is to help veterans, service members, and military families find the resources, guidance, and support they need to successfully reintegrate into life after service. We also work to help employers better understand the value veterans bring to their organizations — leadership, adaptability, accountability, teamwork, and mission-focused work ethic.

At Vets2Vocation, we believe no veteran should have to navigate transition alone. Whether it is career development, resumes, employment opportunities, benefits guidance, mental health resources, education, or community support, our goal is to help veterans build purpose, stability, and success beyond the uniform.
